In order to help us carry out our paranormal investigations we use different types of equipment. Some you may be familiar with, others you may not.
The following are THREE NEW METHODS which we use in our investigations:
VibrALERT
This is the latest in scientific equipment to help paranormal investigators in their research.
Designed and developed by Para.Science, Cheshire's renowned paranormal research team, this particular device can detect a pin drop it is so sensitive! This particular piece of equipment was an essential piece of scientific equipment when the team recently investigated a hotel with alleged poltergeist activity, as it detected the lightest tap and movement on the stairs!
The team are so impressed with this particular device they may just be placing another order for a second one!

Adobe Audition
Audobe Audition (formerly known as Cool Edit) enables us to investigate EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) which we capture on digital recording equipment, be it tape recorder or video, by allowing us to edit out background noise and allow us to filter the sound and leave the EVP clear so it can be heard without interference.
We have had some great results with this software and is one of the best on the market, and is used by many scientific paranormal groups throughout the world!
Ouija Board
This particular Ouija Board was supplied to us by Portals To The Beyond, and is a terrific and essential part of our investigations. We use this during seances and assists us to communicate with alleged spirits. Previously we used a glass during divination, which took a long time spelling names, and giving dates, and we have had very good results, so much so that during one of our investigations the information which came through was 90% accurate and none of the team had prior knowledge to any of the events which the spirit said occurred.
We always ask permission before we conduct any seance either with or without a Ouija Board.
The above are our latest additions which aid us through our investigations. We use other types of equipment which we are sure you may be familiar with.
Gauss Master EMF Meter
This particular meter is an excellent introduction and one of the basic meters we use, and we have had some great results.
It may be a basic meter, but it is by far one of the most reliable on the market. The meter uses a series of clicks, and is active for around ten - fifteen minutes without it being used, and as the reading goes higher into the gauss it emits a piercing sound. The idea with this, and all EMF meters is, that when the meter alerts you to a reading which cannot be explained by power cables or any electrical equipment, it is at this time that you should be taking photographs of the place the EMF meter is active.
It is for this reason alone a base line test should be completed before any investigation begins.
CellSensor EMF Meter
The CellSensor uses a small probe device which inserts into the left of the meter, and has a light which alerts you to any activity. Again this meter has a dial, but this particular meter has two settings, one to detect signals for a mobile phone, and the other as a gauss meter. Great for working in the dark.
Tri-Field Meter
This is a standard meter, but should not be used by a beginner as it is complicated to read. For best results, I have used the both the magnetic and electrical settings while completing a base line test outdoors, and using the electrical setting on indoor investigations.
Multidetector II Profi
The Multidetector II Profi is a brilliantly versatile instrument. Made to the highest standard, this German manufactured meter detects Electric and Magnetic fields with EXTREMELY high accuracy, far beyond what you would expect in this price range. The switchable, frequency-filter allows monitoring of high and low frequency fields (VLF and ELF) separately.
The meter has 11 LED light bar scale (3 green, 4 yellow, 4 red) which is perfect for using in dark locations.
Environment 4 Function Meter
This unique 4 in 1 multifunction, environment meter has been designed for quick and easy baseline tests of sound, light, humidity & temperature. Well, built and easy to use.
Laser Thermometer
This thermometer, uses infra-red sensing therefore does not require contact to take a temperature reading. It is built in a rugged, hand-held pistol grip style case for ease of use. When a measurement is required, you point the device at the object, and pull the trigger. The temperature appears on the screen and can be held by releasing the trigger, or by keeping the trigger pulled you can scan an area for hot or cold spots. In order to facilitate guidance of the temperature measurement there is a laser (1mW Class II) which will point to the current subject of measurement. The unit has a 3-digit LCD display with a blue backlight for use in poor lighting conditions.
Night Vision equipped Camcorders
Essential for any investigation. Although ghosts can be seen during the day, they are better caught at night when everything goes quiet and there is very little light. Sony are very highly recommended as most of their Handycams have night vision capability.
Dictaphone
We actually use two types - digital and analogue. It is important to state that when you are trying to capture EVP's that you should ALWAYS use an external microphone as the internal one will pick up general noise from the unit itself, such as the cogs which turn the tape.
